The furniture affiliate market is broader and more fragmented than it first appears. Our database holds 2,097 program listings from 1,283 distinct brands across ten networks — sofas, mattresses, ergonomic chairs, garden pergolas, custom-built joinery and nursery gliders all sit under the same vertical umbrella. The median positive EPC across programs that report any data is $0.30. That figure reflects the reality for most mid-range retailers: modest average-order traffic, thin commission rates, and limited brand recognition outside their home market. But the distribution has a pronounced right tail. Twenty-two programs report an EPC above $10, and six exceed $60. Those outliers are almost certainly small-sample artefacts, a few high-value conversions across a handful of tracked clicks on Awin, but they point toward a structural feature of this vertical that experienced affiliates should understand.
Furniture is a high-basket, low-frequency purchase category. The average furniture transaction recorded across 1,001 programs with positive EPC data implies commission values that dwarf what is available in, say, fashion or supplements. When the numbers align — reasonable conversion rate, a basket above $1,000 and a commission at 5% or above — a single transaction can generate more affiliate revenue than dozens of lower-value sales. Sofa Club, a UK on-trend sofa retailer on Skimlinks, posts a $1,041 average basket alongside a 7.3% conversion rate and a 0.0% reversal rate. Benchmade Modern, a US custom-sofa brand, shows a $3,637 average basket on Skimlinks. PatioLiving, a luxury outdoor furniture specialist, combines a $10.95 EPC on Impact with a Skimlinks-confirmed basket of $2,146. None of these are household names. That is precisely the pattern this analysis is designed to expose.
This report ranks the programs where the data is sufficient to make a comparison, explains what is known about the major retail brands that dominate consumer awareness but publish little affiliate performance data, and identifies six brands that appear on multiple networks with meaningfully different terms. The ghost rate here is 27.0% — lower than travel, higher than software — which means 566 of the 2,097 listings carry no EPC, commission or conversion data whatsoever. Those programs are included in the full ledger below but are excluded from the ranked analysis.
