Best Insurance Affiliate Programs 2026: Data-Driven Rankings
Insurance is one of the more complex affiliate categories in our database — and one of the more rewarding once you understand its structure. We tracked 564 programs across 9 networks, covering everything from Dutch health insurers and German dental cover providers to US senior life insurance and global travel medical plans. The average EPC among programs with positive data is $2.61, which compares favourably with most finance sub-categories. But 267 programs — 47.3% — publish no performance data whatsoever, making blind selection unusually costly here.
The headline numbers carry a significant caveat. Salland NL on Awin reports $258.51 EPC and a 17% conversion rate: almost certainly a small-sample artefact from a handful of high-value Dutch health insurance leads, not a sustainable baseline for any affiliate at scale. Strip the outliers, and the next tier — Mutual of Omaha Senior Health at $15.54 EPC, Everyday Life at $15.42, and Embea DE at $15.00 — tells a more credible story about where the real money sits. Insurance affiliate programs pay primarily for leads, not sales. That structural fact shapes everything from commission rates (flat per-lead fees dominate) to reversal risk (once a lead is delivered and validated, clawback is rare).
This analysis separates programs with verifiable data from the large ghost population, identifies the outlier traps, and provides a network-by-network comparison for the brands that appear in more than one marketplace. Where commission structures are flat-fee rather than percentage-of-premium, we note that explicitly — because the maths is different, and affiliates who treat both as equivalent will miscalculate their expected earnings.
Best Insurance Affiliate Programs by EPC
This table ranks the top 5 insurance programs from our database by a composite score led by EPC, weighted for data completeness. The vertical median positive EPC is $0.59; the outlier flag threshold is $5.90 (10× median, capped at $15 absolute). All 5 programs in this table exceed that threshold, which is not unusual for an insurance category dominated by high-value lead-generation payouts.

Detailed Analysis
Top Insurance Affiliate Programs Reviewed
Salland NL
AwinNLSalland Verzekeringen is a Dutch health insurer operating in a regulated market with annual switching windows. The Awin-reported figures — $258.51 EPC and 17.0% conversion rate — are almost certainly derived from a very small number of transactions rather than sustained traffic at scale. Dutch health insurance is a high-intent, high-ticket product; a handful of completed sales during a peak switching period could produce these statistics legitimately without being remotely repeatable at volume. Both figures are flagged as outliers, and the commission structure is not disclosed in the public-facing listing.
Affiliates with Dutch-language personal finance audiences should investigate this program, but verify current EPC in the Awin dashboard before building content campaigns around these numbers. The 30-day cookie is standard for the Dutch insurance market and a good sign the program is properly configured. The absence of commission rate data is common for regulated insurance products in the Netherlands, where CPL or CPA rates are frequently negotiated directly with publishers rather than published openly.
Fabric by Gerber Life (UGMA)
ImpactFabric by Gerber Life runs two distinct product lines from a single brand platform: UGMA custodial investment accounts and an affordable life insurance product. The Impact listing producing the $23.27 EPC is associated with the UGMA account flow — a relatively frictionless sign-up for a well-known brand with strong parental-audience recognition. The absence of conversion rate, cookie duration, and reversal data makes independent verification impossible without network access, which is a material limitation before committing content investment.
The $23.27 EPC is flagged as an outlier against the vertical median of $0.59 but is not implausible for a high-intent parenting audience completing a financial account opening. Affiliates should note that Fabric's life insurance and UGMA products are sometimes listed as separate Impact programs; running both in parallel under a single relationship is common for this brand. Check the Impact dashboard for any distinct program IDs before assuming one listing covers both product types.
AARP Auto Insurance — The Hartford
ImpactThe AARP Auto Insurance Program from The Hartford targets the over-50 demographic specifically and is listed separately from The Hartford's general program on Impact. The flat-rate commission is $30 per short-form quote completion, confirmed in our commissions table where a "Short Form Conversion" action is priced at $30.00. The $16.55 EPC implies that approximately 55 in 100 clicks result in a completed quote form — a very high implied conversion rate that reflects a highly pre-qualified AARP audience rather than cold traffic from generic insurance search queries.
The AARP endorsement is a meaningful trust signal in the US senior market and changes the conversion dynamic compared to an unbranded insurance comparison page. Affiliates targeting retirement and senior living audiences should treat this as a distinct product from the general Hartford listing: the content, messaging, and audience targeting should speak directly to the over-50 auto insurance buyer. The absence of cookie duration data on Impact is a gap that should be confirmed with the network before launching paid promotion against this program.
Mutual of Omaha (Senior Health)
ImpactMutual of Omaha is one of the most recognised insurance brands in the United States, with particular strength in senior health, Medicare supplement, and life insurance. The Senior Health program listing on Impact focuses on lead generation for Medicare products — a category where lead values are naturally high because annual enrollment periods concentrate high-intent decision-making into a narrow window. The $15.54 EPC, while flagged as an outlier against the full vertical, is credible in the context of Medicare lead generation, where qualified leads from established insurers can command $30–$80 per referral.
The complete absence of conversion rate, cookie duration, and commission rate data in the network listing is a material gap. Affiliates should contact the Impact partner team for current CPL terms before committing editorial investment. This program is best suited to publishers who can produce compliant Medicare content: regulatory requirements for Medicare marketing in the US are strict, and non-compliant promotional materials can result in program termination regardless of traffic quality.
Everyday Life
ImpactEveryday Life is a US-based direct-to-consumer life insurance platform targeting buyers who want accessible, straightforward coverage without a medical exam. The brand's proposition — instant decisions, affordable pricing — is designed to convert first-time life insurance buyers rather than experienced policy switchers. That audience profile tends to produce above-average conversion rates on content that explains the basics of life insurance, because the purchase decision is driven by life events rather than marginal price comparisons between existing policyholders.
The $15.42 EPC is flagged as an outlier, but the combination of reduced friction and a first-time-buyer audience creates genuine conditions for above-median performance. All supporting metrics (conversion rate, cookie, commission rate) are absent from the network listing, making stress-testing the figure impossible from the outside. Affiliates should request commission structure and conversion benchmarks directly from the Impact partner team before building a content strategy around this program.
Embea DE
AwinDEEmbea is a German insurtech offering protection against serious life risks — critical illness, accident, and death — with a digital-first application process targeting customers aged 18 to 75 in Germany. Both the EPC ($15.00) and the conversion rate (25.0%) are flagged as outliers. The 25.0% conversion rate sits exactly at the flagging threshold, and in combination with the high EPC, suggests a small transaction sample. The 30-day cookie on Awin is a useful data point confirming the program is properly configured and active in the DACH market.
German critical illness and life insurance products attract a motivated audience — people who have recently experienced a health event or who are planning for family financial security tend to convert at above-average rates on clear, well-structured comparison content. Affiliates producing German-language content around life planning or family financial resilience may find this program worth testing at small scale, accessing real-time EPC data from the Awin dashboard rather than relying on the network-reported figure as a planning baseline.
Simply Business US
CJSimply Business is a business insurance marketplace that operates in both the US and UK under the same brand. The CJ commission structure is confirmed as a flat $30 per lead for the US program, confirmed in our commissions data. The $12.35 EPC implies roughly one in two-and-a-half clicks converts to a completed lead form — either a small-sample artefact or a reflection of the high intent of small business owners actively seeking coverage who land on content specifically addressing their insurance needs.
Simply Business UK also appears on CJ at a $6.80 EPC with a 10% commission rate — a different commission structure for the same brand in a different market. The US program uses flat-fee CPL while the UK program uses percentage-of-premium. Affiliates should register for both separately rather than assuming the US relationship provides UK traffic access. For US small business content — particularly trades, contractors, and freelancers seeking professional liability or general liability cover — Simply Business is one of the better-documented programs in our database for this audience segment.
The Hartford
ImpactThe Hartford is a well-established US insurer covering auto, home, and business lines. Its general Impact listing — distinct from the AARP Auto Insurance program also on the platform — pays a flat $30 per short-form conversion, confirmed in the commissions table. The $9.90 EPC is below the AARP-branded listing's $16.55, which makes sense: the AARP version draws a more pre-qualified audience. The general program casts a wider net and converts at a lower implied rate from general-traffic publishers.
Affiliates who are active in both programs should segment their traffic: AARP-specific content and audiences to the branded program, broader auto and home insurance comparison content to the general program. Running both under a single Impact relationship is likely permitted but should be confirmed with the account manager. The $30 flat rate removes policy-size variability from the earnings calculation, making this program straightforward to model against content production cost in an ROI analysis.
High-Potential Programs with Thin Data
Several programs outside the top eight show strong EPCs but lack conversion or commission data for a complete review. Petolo DE on Awin (German pet insurance) posts $7.95 EPC with a 5.3% conversion rate and a 30-day cookie — a consistent profile for a niche product serving an engaged German pet-owner audience. FBTO NL on Awin shows $7.62 EPC with a 10.6% conversion rate — one of the more complete data sets in the Dutch market. Simply Business UK on CJ reports $6.80 EPC at a 10% percentage commission, the same brand as the US listing but a materially different structure. Dentolo DE on Awin, the German supplemental dental insurer, posts $6.55 EPC with a 4.4% conversion rate and a 30-day cookie — a reliable-looking data set for a niche that is genuinely under-served in English-language affiliate content.
What About Allianz, Aviva, Progressive, and the Major Carriers?
The largest insurance brands in the world are largely absent from the programs with transparent performance data in our database. Aviva UK, Admiral, Churchill, Direct Line, and LV= all appear in our tracker on Awin with 30-day cookies but publish no EPC, commission, or conversion data — ghost programs in the full sense of the term. Progressive Insurance and State Farm are either absent from the networks we monitor or inactive. Their scale makes affiliate marketing a small fraction of their distribution spend, and they have little incentive to publish transparent performance data.
Zurich and AXA appear across multiple markets and networks, but their data is patchy. AXA Business Insurance on Awin reports a $3.33 EPC and 4.5% conversion rate for the UK market; AXA Landlord Insurance on the same network shows $2.53 EPC at 4.2% — both useful data points for UK affiliates, but far from a complete picture of AXA's global program footprint. The Awin listings use flat lead fees (confirmed at £50 per lead for AXA Business on the UK program) rather than percentage commissions, which matters when calculating expected earnings.
Allianz is a partial exception. Allianz Worldwide Care on CJ reports a $5.31 EPC for international health insurance — its coverage of 239 countries makes it a natural fit for expat-audience content. Allianz Travel BR on Awin shows $2.42 EPC with an 11.0% conversion rate and a 30-day cookie, one of the more complete cross-border travel insurance data sets in our database. Cigna Global on Impact posts $3.93 EPC for expat health insurance with no supporting metrics. New York Life appears on CJ at $2.40 EPC — verifiable data from a Household Name brand, which is unusual enough to note. Farmers Insurance on Impact reports $2.35 EPC; like The Hartford, its model is lead-based, not premium-based.
Cross-Network Data
Same Brand, Different Networks: Where the Terms Diverge
Insurance brands appear across multiple networks more often than most categories, and the variation in reported terms is significant. In the most striking case — Freely Travel Insurance — the best-performing network delivers $5.45 EPC against a nearly zero figure on an alternative. Choosing the right network for a brand you already promote can materially change your earnings without changing a single line of content.

Insurance Affiliate Programs: What the Data Shows
The 564 programs in our database produce a median positive EPC of $0.59 and an average of $2.61 — a wide gap driven by the heavy right tail of high-value lead-generation programs. The 5 programs ranked above the $5.90 outlier threshold account for a disproportionate share of the category's reported EPC output. Affiliates who focus on volume across the median-performing programs will generate materially different economics from those who build targeted content for the high-EPC outlier programs. Neither strategy is wrong; they require different content investments and traffic profiles.
Lead generation dominates the commission structure in ways that distinguish insurance from most other affiliate categories. Flat-fee-per-lead structures range from $5 (Embrace Pet Insurance on Impact) to $250 per policy purchase (Embroker's business insurance listing on Impact). This range is wider than any percentage-commission programme in the vertical. Affiliates accustomed to percentage-of-sale commission maths need to recalibrate: a program paying $30 per lead at a 5% implied conversion rate produces $1.50 EPC, competitive with many 10–15% percentage programs on low-basket insurance products.
Reversal Rate Warning
Three programs in our database carry reversal rates that should give affiliates pause before scaling. Start Rescue — Breakdown Cover on Skimlinks reports a 77.0% reversal rate against an EPC of $0.20. Veygo UK reports 58.7% reversals at $0.96 EPC. Loveit Coverit shows 36.9% at $1.35 EPC. All three are Skimlinks-tracked UK insurance or breakdown products. These reversal rates likely reflect cancellation of short-term policies or payment failures within the validation window rather than affiliate fraud. At 77.0%, the Start Rescue figure means three in four reported commissions are eventually clawed back — the nominal EPC is deeply misleading as a planning figure.
The cookie window distribution in insurance is bimodal. Among 181 programs that disclose a cookie duration, 133 use exactly 30 days and 15 use 60 days. Impact-network programs overwhelmingly do not report cookie duration, which is a structural gap for that network rather than a program-level choice. One Awin program shows 9,999 days — a network placeholder for session-based or lifetime-attribution setup, not a genuine multi-year cookie, and should not be interpreted literally. The relatively generous average cookie of 89 days is partly a statistical artefact of the 60-day and 120-day outlier programs pulling the mean upward from the 30-day mode.
The German and Dutch Market Advantage
Germany and the Netherlands together account for a disproportionate share of the programs with complete EPC and conversion data in our insurance database. Awin, which is strongest in DACH and Benelux markets, provides more complete performance data in those regions than any other network in this vertical. Petolo DE ($7.95 EPC, 5.3% conv., 30d cookie), FBTO NL ($7.62 EPC, 10.6% conv., 30d cookie), Dentolo DE ($6.55 EPC, 4.4% conv., 30d cookie), and SOLIDAR DE ($4.11 EPC, 14.6% conv., 30d cookie) all appear with complete enough data sets for meaningful planning. Affiliates producing German or Dutch insurance content have access to a richer verified programme set than their English-language counterparts operating in the UK or US markets.
The commission rate distribution among programs that do publish rates is concentrated in the 10–20% range (49 programs) followed by 5–10% (41 programs). Two programs report rates above 50%: Centraal Beheer NL reports 100% commission on Awin — a structure that typically means a flat lead fee calculated as a percentage of the first-month premium rather than a literal doubling of policy revenue. DFV DE on Skimlinks reports 38.6% commission with a confirmed 16.5% reversal rate; the net effective commission after reversals is closer to 32%, which is still high but meaningfully different from the gross figure.

Search All Insurance ProgramsHow to Choose an Insurance Affiliate Program
The first question to resolve is commission structure: flat fee per lead or percentage of premium. In a lead-generation program paying $30 per completed quote form, your EPC is a direct function of your conversion rate and nothing else — policy size is irrelevant to your earnings. In a percentage commission program like Simply Business UK at 10%, your earnings scale with the premium, which may vary substantially between a micro-business sole trader and a small company with multiple employees. Neither structure is inherently superior; the right choice depends on whether your audience skews toward high-volume general-interest readers or lower-volume high-intent buyers with predictable policy needs.
Second, examine reversal risk before scaling. The insurance category contains some of the highest reversal rates in our entire database: Veygo UK at 58.7% and Start Rescue at 77.0% are extreme cases, but DFV DE on Skimlinks reports 16.5% reversals against a 38.6% commission rate, producing a net effective rate closer to 32%. A high commission rate with a high reversal rate can produce a net effective commission well below what the headline figure implies. Our database reports reversal rates where networks disclose them, but many programs — particularly on Impact and CJ — do not disclose reversal rates publicly. Treat any Skimlinks-tracked programme with a high reported commission rate as a candidate for reversal scrutiny.
Third, consider geographic fit. Insurance is a locally regulated product: a Dutch health insurer will not convert UK traffic, and a US Medicare supplement program is irrelevant to a European audience. Programs with explicit country codes in our database (NL, DE, GB, US, AU, BR, CH) make geographic targeting straightforward. Programs without market data require a direct check with the network. Building a multilingual insurance comparison resource around the German and Dutch Awin programmes is a specific opportunity that is under-exploited in current English-language affiliate publishing.
Finally, for the programs with the highest reported EPCs, treat the figure as a hypothesis, not a guarantee. Where conversion rate and reversal data are absent — which covers the top three programs in our ranking — request a pilot period through the network and measure your own conversion rate before committing content budget at scale. The programs that look best in a top-5 table are not always the programs that perform best for a specific audience and content format.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the best insurance affiliate programs?
Among programs with verified EPC data, Embea DE ($15.00 EPC on Awin), Simply Business US ($12.35 EPC on CJ), and The Hartford ($9.90 EPC on Impact) top our ranked table. Mutual of Omaha Senior Health ($15.54 EPC on Impact) and Everyday Life ($15.42 EPC on Impact) post higher headline EPCs but were excluded from rankings due to thin sample data. For UK audiences, Simply Business UK on CJ delivers $6.80 EPC at a 10% commission. The category skews heavily toward lead-generation payouts rather than percentage commissions, which changes the affiliate maths significantly.
How much commission do insurance affiliate programs pay?
Across 564 insurance programs with commission data, the average rate is 13.0%. However, rates span an enormous range: from under 5% for some volume-oriented programs to flat fees ranging from $5 to $250 per lead or policy. A flat $30-per-lead structure (as seen with Simply Business and The Hartford on Impact) can outperform a 20% revenue-share program if conversion volume is high.
Why does insurance have such a high ghost rate?
Our database shows 267 of 564 insurance programs — 47.3% — publish no EPC, commission, or conversion data at all. This is partly structural: many insurance programs pay per qualified lead or policy, and networks often withhold these CPL rates from the public-facing program listing to prevent competitive undercutting. It also reflects the regulatory sensitivity of insurance marketing; some programs prefer to discuss terms privately with publishers rather than publishing them openly.
What cookie durations do insurance affiliate programs offer?
Among programs reporting cookie data, 30 days is by far the most common window, used by 133 of 181 programs that disclose a cookie. The next most common is 60 days, used by 15 programs. Most Impact-network programs do not report a cookie duration. One Awin program shows a 9,999-day cookie, which is a network placeholder for session-based or lifetime-attribution setups, not a genuine multi-year window — do not treat it as such when planning campaigns.
Is insurance a good niche for affiliate marketing?
Insurance is one of the higher-monetising niches by EPC once you filter out ghosts. The average EPC across programs with positive data is $2.61. However, the ghost rate of 47.3% means a large portion of programs are effectively unverifiable before you invest content. The niche rewards affiliates who can produce compliant, trust-building content and who understand the regulatory constraints on insurance claims and comparisons in each target market.
Do insurance affiliate programs pay per lead or per sale?
Both models exist, but lead generation is disproportionately common in insurance compared to most other categories. Programs like The Hartford, Simply Business, and BizInsure pay flat fees per qualified lead or quote completion rather than a percentage of the eventual premium. Rates range from $5 (Embrace Pet Insurance) to $250 per policy purchase (Embroker). Flat-rate lead programs tend to produce more predictable income but require higher traffic volume to match percentage-commission programs at scale.
Methodology
This analysis covers 564 insurance affiliate programs tracked across 9 networks including Skimlinks, Awin, FlexOffers, CJ, Impact, Rakuten, Partnerize, Mavely, and Travelpayouts. Performance data (EPC, conversion rate, reversal rate) is pulled from network APIs and updated regularly. Commission rates reflect default publisher tiers — negotiated rates may differ. Programs with no performance data ("ghost programs") are excluded from averages but included in total counts. The ghost rate (47.3%) reflects 267 programs with no EPC, commission rate, or conversion rate data on file. The vertical median positive EPC is $0.59 across 239 programs with positive EPC data. Outlier flags are applied to EPCs exceeding $5.90 (10× the vertical median, capped at $15 absolute) and conversion rates exceeding 25%. Last updated: August 28, 2026.
