Ghost Rate

The investing and trading affiliate space rewards patience over impulse. Across 234 programs on seven networks, the average EPC is $2.20 among programs that report one — but 72.2% publish no performance data whatsoever, the highest ghost rate we have recorded across any major vertical. That opacity is not accidental: financial services firms operate in a regulated environment, and many use Impact’s private-programme model, which suppresses aggregate network statistics entirely.

Where data exists, the picture is sharply polarised. Two programs — Zacks Investment Research and eToro — report EPCs above $13, figures that almost certainly reflect small click samples rather than sustainable returns at scale. Strip out those outliers and the working field narrows quickly: a handful of investment newsletter, trading platform, and prop-trading programmes deliver EPCs in the $2–$9 range with enough volume to warrant serious attention. Commission structures split almost evenly between percentage-of-sale and flat CPA. Flat payouts range from $25 per completed deposit (Stash Invest) to $700 per approved accredited investor (Yieldstreet). Choosing between them depends less on the headline number than on the quality of traffic you can deliver and whether your audience has the financial profile the program requires.

This report works through the 234 programs methodically: the top performers by a defensible composite ranking, individual analysis of the eight programs with the strongest data, the household names that have programmes but publish little, and a cross-network comparison that shows how substantially terms diverge for the same brand on different networks.

Best Investing & Trading Affiliate Programs by EPC

Rankings use a composite score weighted by EPC, data completeness, and the presence of a verifiable conversion or commission figure. Programs with only a network listing and no performance data are excluded here; they appear in the full ledger below. The EPC median for this vertical among positive reporters is $0.59, so the flag threshold is $5.94.

Zacks Investment Research provides stock ratings, screening tools, and premium research services to individual investors. The $36.13 EPC reported on Impact is the highest in this vertical, but it is accompanied by no conversion rate, no cookie duration, and no reversal rate. The only commission data the network publishes is a $100 flat fee per online sale. An EPC this far above the vertical median ($0.59) almost certainly reflects a very small number of clicks, possibly a handful of high-intent newsletter referrals that converted to premium subscriptions. The platform is well-known in the US retail investor community, which is a legitimate distribution advantage, but affiliates should treat the EPC as a theoretical ceiling rather than an operational benchmark.

The AI affiliate insights note that the outlier EPC suggests low volume. That is the correct interpretation. Before treating this as a lead program, affiliates should run a controlled test with sufficient click volume — at minimum several hundred clicks — to establish a stable EPC. The $100 commission on a single sale suggests the product being sold is likely a premium annual subscription, which carries churn and reversal risk that the published data cannot quantify.

Best for: Finance bloggers, investment advisors, and stock market educators with an audience of engaged retail investors.

eToro is among the better-known social trading platforms globally, with over 7,000 tradeable assets and a copy-trading feature that has proven particularly effective for recruiting first-time investors. The CJ listing pays a $200 flat fee per first-time depositor (FTD), which is a meaningful payout for a platform in this bracket. The reported $13.47 EPC is the second-highest in the vertical but is similarly bracketed by a complete absence of secondary metrics: no cookie duration, no conversion rate, and no reversal rate. The FTD model means conversion quality is paramount — sending marginal traffic that creates accounts but never deposits will generate zero commission.

The $200 FTD commission is meaningfully higher than many competing brokers. Where eToro has an edge is brand familiarity with younger, mobile-first audiences in the UK, Europe, and Australia. Content that positions eToro’s copy-trading as an entry point for beginners is likely the most productive angle. Affiliates should note that eToro operates in a regulated market and may restrict promotional claims; confirm the current publisher guidelines in the CJ dashboard before building content.

Best for: Finance and investment bloggers, personal finance websites, and trading education platforms targeting beginner and intermediate investors.

The Oxford Club is a private, subscription-based investment publisher targeting experienced individual investors seeking portfolio growth strategies. The Awin listing previously reported an $8.49 EPC and a 28.6% conversion rate — figures that sat well above vertical norms and are excluded from current rankings as low-volume outliers. At the August 2026 data pull, the Awin EPC had fallen to $0.01, consistent with very sparse click activity. A conversion rate or EPC this volatile is almost always indicative of very low click volume concentrated on high-intent traffic, rather than a broad repeatable conversion signal. The FlexOffers listing reports flat payouts of $112.50 per sale, while other network listings reference payouts in the $80–$96 range depending on transaction type. The commission structure is flat-fee, which means volume is the primary earnings lever once you find content that converts.

Despite the caveats, the Oxford Club has a legitimate editorial reputation in the US financial media space and a clearly defined audience of wealth-building newsletter readers. Affiliates who publish long-form financial content and have an email list of retail investors are better positioned here than display or search affiliates. The 30-day cookie window on Awin is adequate for considered-purchase subscription products. The absence of a reversal rate in the data is notable: subscription products in this category can carry meaningful cancellation and chargeback risk that the network statistics do not expose.

Best for: Finance and investment bloggers, email marketers, and personal finance websites with an established audience of US retail investors.

Capital.com

Avg Basket

Capital.com is a CFD and spread-betting platform offering access to over 5,000 markets, with a stated user base above 817,000. The Impact listing offers a tiered CPA structure: a base of $100 per qualified depositor, rising to as much as $600 depending on deposit size and geography. The $8.22 EPC reported on Impact sits above the flag threshold, and no conversion rate or cookie duration accompanies it. The commission rate listed on Impact registers as $0.00 for the percentage field, which reflects the flat CPA structure rather than a revenue-share model. For affiliates, this means earnings are entirely dependent on the volume and quality of new depositors they can drive.

Capital.com operates across a wide range of jurisdictions, and the tiered CPA means that the effective commission per referral varies substantially depending on where the depositor is located and how much they fund. Affiliates targeting higher-income audiences in Group A countries (UK, Australia, Germany) are likely to earn toward the upper end of the $100–$600 range. CFD trading content carries regulatory restrictions in many markets; affiliates should confirm compliant promotional approaches in their jurisdiction before publishing.

Best for: Finance and investment content creators with traffic from higher-income markets, particularly the UK, Europe, and Australia.

Wealthfront Brokerage

Impact
EPC

Avg Basket

Wealthfront is a US-focused robo-adviser and high-yield cash account provider, well-known in the personal finance media space. The Impact listing pays $35 per cash-only conversion — the commission structure records both a “Funded Account” and a “Click” action, both at $0.00, which means the $35 payout is specifically for a cash account opening rather than an investment account. The $3.91 EPC is unsupported by any conversion rate data. At a $35 flat commission, an implied conversion rate can be back-calculated as approximately 11% (3.91 / 35 × 100), which is plausible for a low-friction cash account open but should still be treated as a rough estimate pending sufficient click volume.

For affiliates focused on personal finance content for younger US audiences, Wealthfront is a credible brand with genuine product differentiation in the automated investing space. The $35 payout is modest compared with broker CPA programmes, but the low-friction “open a cash account” action may convert more readily than a full brokerage account opening. The absence of cookie duration data on Impact is a persistent limitation across most programs in this vertical; affiliates should assume attribution windows are short and that last-click tracking is the default.

Best for: Finance and investing bloggers targeting US audiences, personal finance websites, and millennial-focused content creators.

ChartPrime

FlexOffersUS

ChartPrime provides technical analysis indicators for traders, positioning itself as a tool to simplify charting strategies. The 40% commission rate is the highest percentage-of-sale figure in the top 10 and is typical of software subscription programmes in the trading niche, where marginal costs are low and affiliate incentives can be set aggressively. The $5.85 EPC falls just below the vertical’s flag threshold of $5.94, so it does not formally warrant a flag, but it is close enough to merit the same interpretive caution: a single FlexOffers listing with no conversion rate or basket size makes it impossible to assess the volume underlying the figure.

ChartPrime is classified as emerging brand recognition, which means it is not a household name. That is both a risk and an opportunity: content creators who can establish themselves early in a niche product’s lifecycle sometimes benefit from lower competition and higher initial conversion rates as the program builds its affiliate base. At 40%, the commission structure is attractive on paper, but the effective earning rate depends entirely on what the average subscriber pays and how long they retain. Affiliates should request historical retention and chargeback data from the FlexOffers account team before scaling promotion.

Best for: Finance and trading content creators with audiences actively engaged in technical analysis and charting strategies.

Bookmap is a market data visualisation platform that renders real-time order-book depth for equity and futures traders. It is one of only six programs in this entire vertical where Skimlinks publishes a conversion rate, reversal rate, and average basket size simultaneously. Those figures are: 4.8% conversion, 0.0% reversal, $180.80 average basket, 28.8% commission. The implied earnings per sale work out to approximately $52 (0.288 × $180.80), and the $2.50 EPC implies roughly one conversion in 50 clicks — consistent with the 4.8% rate. The zero reversal rate is the most unusual figure: a 0.0% reversal rate across a sample suggests either a very loyal customer base or a network where reversal reporting is incomplete. In either case, it is a meaningful differentiator in a vertical where reversal risk is a genuine concern.

Bookmap is also listed on FlexOffers (EPC $0.50, no conversion data) and Rakuten (no data). The Skimlinks listing is the clear winner on current evidence: better EPC, richer data, and a zero reversal rate. The FlexOffers listing reports payouts ranging from $15.20 to $200 per transaction, suggesting tiered pricing, which aligns with Bookmap’s product structure of basic and pro subscription tiers. Affiliates who are active in futures and equity trading communities are the most natural fit for this product.

Best for: Affiliates in the finance, trading, and investment niches, particularly those publishing content for active futures and equity traders.

Instant Funding is a proprietary trading firm offering up to $3.84 million in funded capital, retaining up to 90% profit share for the trader, with no daily drawdown limits or time constraints on passing evaluations. The 8% commission rate is consistent across its three network listings (Impact, Skimlinks, CJ). The Impact listing shows a $2.43 EPC with no supporting conversion or basket data. The Skimlinks listing provides the fuller picture: $2.83 EPC, 26.0% conversion rate, $136.34 average basket, and a 0.9% reversal rate. The Impact EPC ($2.43) and Skimlinks EPC ($2.83) are now closely aligned, suggesting a more consistent publisher base across both networks — both pay 8% of sale.

The prop trading niche has grown rapidly as retail traders seek funded accounts as an alternative to self-capitalised trading. Instant Funding’s no-limits model is a meaningful differentiator in a crowded space. At 8% commission on an average basket of $136.34, the per-sale commission is approximately $10.91, which the 26.0% Skimlinks conversion rate makes accessible to content producers who can drive even modest targeted traffic. The 0.9% reversal rate on Skimlinks is low and represents a minor earnings drag at scale.

Best for: Finance and trading websites, investment educators, and affiliate marketers targeting aspiring proprietary traders.

What About Hargreaves Lansdown, IG, Robinhood, and TradeStation?

Several of the most recognised names in retail investing and trading have affiliate programmes in our database but publish virtually no performance data. They account for a meaningful share of the 72.2% ghost rate in this vertical.

Hargreaves Lansdown is the UK’s largest retail investment platform by assets under administration. It appears on both Skimlinks and Impact, but neither listing reports an EPC, conversion rate, or commission rate. The sheer size of the brand — and the regulated nature of UK investment products — means the programme almost certainly exists primarily as a managed relationship with selected publishers rather than an open affiliate programme.

IG Group (listed as IG on Impact) is one of the world’s largest CFD and spread-betting providers. Like Hargreaves Lansdown, the Impact listing shows no EPC, no conversion rate, and no commission structure in the data we hold. IG operates under FCA regulation in the UK, which imposes significant restrictions on how affiliates may describe its products.

Robinhood UK appears on Impact with no performance data. The US Robinhood programme is not in our database for this vertical; the UK entity is a newer, separate operation. Brand recognition among younger retail investors is high, but without data, there is nothing to compare.

TradeStation is a US futures and equities broker with a long history and strong recognition among active traders. Its Impact listing carries no EPC or commission data. TradeStation historically offered a tiered revenue-share or CPA structure, but those terms are not visible in the current network data.

Fisher Investments appears on both FlexOffers and Rakuten with no published performance data on either. Fisher targets high-net-worth individuals, which would imply a high-value referral, but without a reported commission structure or EPC, no comparison is possible.

The pattern across all these household names is consistent: large, regulated financial institutions treat affiliate programmes as an internal relationship management tool, not as a public auction. If you have the audience scale to approach them directly, negotiated terms may be substantially better than what the public listing implies — but the public data offers no foundation for pre-join assessment.

Cross-Network Data

Same Brand, Different Networks: Where to Get the Best Deal

Many brands in this vertical run programmes simultaneously on two or more networks with different commission structures, EPCs, and — critically — different levels of performance transparency. Choosing the right network for a given brand can change your earnings materially. Here is how some of the most important cross-listed programmes compare.

The Empower cross-network comparison illustrates how payout structures can shift between data pulls. At August 2026, FlexOffers reports $80 per qualified lead against Impact’s $100, making Impact the higher-paying network for this brand — the reverse of what earlier data showed. Impact also shows a higher EPC ($1.67 vs $0.03 on FlexOffers), consistent with a smaller set of specialist publishers driving higher-quality traffic. The implication is that programme-level EPC alone cannot tell you how your traffic will perform; your own conversion data is the only reliable guide.

Data Insights

Investing & Trading Affiliate Programs: What the Data Shows

The dominant structural feature of this vertical is the 72.2% ghost rate. Of 234 program listings, 169 publish no EPC, no conversion rate, and no reversal rate. This is not a data-quality failure on our part; it reflects a deliberate commercial and regulatory posture. Financial services companies, particularly those regulated by the FCA, ASIC, or SEC, are cautious about the kinds of performance claims that flow through network dashboards. Many run their affiliate programmes as closed, managed relationships through Impact’s private-programme infrastructure, which by design does not surface aggregate statistics.

Data Insight: The Ghost Rate Problem

72.2% of investing and trading affiliate programs in our database publish no performance data. That is roughly 20 percentage points higher than the hotel vertical and is the highest ghost rate we have recorded in any major finance subcategory. Affiliates must be prepared to operate largely without pre-join benchmarks and to treat initial test campaigns as the primary data-gathering exercise.

The commission structure split is almost even between flat CPA and percentage-of-sale, but the distribution of values is heavily skewed. Among percentage programmes, rates cluster at two poles: mid-single-digit percentages (1%, 8%) for regulated brokers where the commission is a fraction of a deposit, and very high percentages (28.8%, 40%) for software and subscription products where the marginal cost to the merchant is low. Flat CPAs similarly cluster: $25–$35 for micro-action programmes (deposit initiated, account opened) and $100–$700 for high-intent actions (funded accounts, qualified investor referrals).

Data Insight: The Kitco Reversal Warning

Kitco — a precious-metals dealer with an investing angle — reports a 10.7% reversal rate on Skimlinks against an average basket of $6,336.66. A reversal rate above 10% on a high-AOV product represents meaningful commission attrition, and the $0.02 EPC already reflects this. Affiliates should avoid building content around Kitco’s affiliate programme without verifying current reversal rates directly with the network, and should treat the published figures as a cautionary illustration of how a high AOV combined with a material reversal rate can erode net earnings substantially.

The EPC distribution among the 65 programmes reporting positive figures is highly right-skewed: two programs (Zacks and eToro) account for disproportionate mass in the top of the range, while 49 of 65 report EPCs below $2.00. The median positive EPC is $0.59. Removing the two outliers and the distribution is still dispersed, with a cluster between $0.01 and $0.50, a second cluster between $1.00 and $3.00, and a handful of programmes between $3.00 and $9.00. This shape means that EPC-based rankings are sensitive to outliers; composite scoring that weights data completeness is a more reliable guide than raw EPC.

Data Insight: Flat CPA vs Percentage — Which Scales Better

Among programmes with both a positive commission figure and a positive EPC, flat CPA programmes (eToro $200, Zacks $100, Empower $100, Yieldstreet $700) tend to produce higher EPCs when sample volumes are low, because a single large-payout conversion dominates the average. Percentage programmes with reported conversion rates (Bookmap 28.8%, Instant Funding 8%) are more reliable for forward planning because the relationship between commission, basket size, and conversion rate gives you a complete earnings model. For volume-oriented affiliates, percentage programmes with known baskets are preferable to flat CPAs with no conversion data.

How to Choose an Investing & Trading Affiliate Program

The first question to answer is whether your audience has the financial profile required to complete the conversion action. For broker CPA programmes (eToro, Capital.com, FXCM), the conversion event is a funded account, which means your visitor must be willing and able to deposit real money. The conversion rates for this type of action are materially lower than for subscription products or lead-gen programmes. Content that pre-qualifies visitors by explaining what a first deposit entails will outperform content that obscures the commitment required.

Second, scrutinise the commission structure in detail before selecting a network. The Empower cross-network comparison — $80 per lead on FlexOffers versus $100 on Impact — illustrates that the same brand can pay materially different amounts depending on where you sign up, and the higher-payout network is not always the one with the higher EPC. For flat CPA programmes, always check whether the network lists the payout per specific action type, because many programmes have multiple action tiers, some of which pay $0.00. The Wealthfront Impact listing, for instance, lists a funded account event at $0.00 and a cash-only conversion at $35 — the distinction is significant.

Third, account for reversal risk before calculating expected earnings. The Kitco Skimlinks listing shows a 10.7% reversal rate: if you project earnings based on gross commission and ignore reversals, you will overestimate net returns on a high-AOV product. Bookmap's Skimlinks listing shows a 0.0% reversal rate; Instant Funding's Skimlinks listing shows 0.9%, both of which are low enough to treat gross commission as a close proxy for net earnings. Where reversal data is absent — which is the case for most of the top 10 — treat your projections as gross and apply a prudent downward adjustment based on the product type: subscription and recurring-revenue products tend to have higher reversal risk than one-time software purchases.

Finally, consider the regulatory environment your content will operate in. Promoting CFD, spread-betting, and margin-trading products in the UK, EU, and Australia requires adherence to financial promotion rules. The FCA’s guidelines, for instance, require clear risk warnings and prohibit misleading performance claims. Content that describes a broker’s historical returns without appropriate disclaimers can result in programme termination and legal liability. Check the current publisher guidelines in the network dashboard before publishing, not after.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the best investing and trading affiliate programs?

Based on our data across 234 programs, Bookmap (Skimlinks: 28.8% commission, $2.50 EPC, 4.8% conversion rate, 0.0% reversal) and Instant Funding (8% commission, 26.0% conversion on Skimlinks) offer the most complete and credible performance data. Zacks Investment Research reports a $36.13 EPC, but that figure almost certainly reflects very low click volume. For brand-name programmes, eToro’s $200 FTD payout and Capital.com’s tiered $100–$600 CPA are competitive flat-rate options.

How much commission do investing affiliate programs pay?

Across the 234 programs in our database, the average commission rate among programmes reporting a positive figure is 21.2%. This is influenced heavily by software and subscription services paying high percentages: ChartPrime at 40%, Bookmap at 28.8%, and Kavout at 30%. Flat CPA programmes are equally common and range from $25 per completed deposit (Stash Invest) to $700 per approved accredited investor referral (Yieldstreet). The structure that works best depends on your audience’s financial profile and purchase intent.

What is the cookie duration for investing affiliate programs?

The average cookie duration among the 234 programmes that report one is 35 days, though many programmes — particularly those on Impact — do not publish a cookie duration at all. Awin-listed programmes such as Fidelity SIPP, Morningstar, and Trade UP typically offer standard 30-day cookies, with Trade UP extending to 90 days. CapTrader on Awin uses a 60-day cookie, which is useful for a higher-consideration financial product. The absence of cookie data across most of the vertical means affiliates should confirm attribution windows directly with the network before building long-form content.

Why do so many investing affiliate programs publish no performance data?

72.2% of the 234 programs in this vertical publish no EPC, conversion rate, or reversal rate. This is higher than most other verticals and reflects the regulated nature of financial services. Brokers and investment platforms operating under FCA, ASIC, or SEC oversight are cautious about performance claims flowing through network dashboards. Many use Impact’s private-programme model, which withholds aggregate statistics from the network entirely. Affiliates must rely more on test-and-learn campaigns than on pre-join benchmarks.

Are flat-rate CPA or percentage-commission programs better for investing affiliates?

Both structures have merit depending on traffic quality. Flat CPAs (eToro $200 FTD, Empower $100 per qualified lead, Zacks $100 per sale) reward volume and offer predictable per-unit earnings. Percentage commissions (Bookmap 28.8%, ChartPrime 40%, Instant Funding 8%) scale with order size, which matters when average baskets in this vertical range from $136 to over $6,000. For high-quality, low-volume traffic, a flat CPA is often more robust. For content sites with consistent traffic and known audiences, percentage structures with published basket data provide a more complete earnings model.

Which affiliate networks carry the most investing and trading programs?

Impact dominates this vertical with the largest number of programme listings. FlexOffers, Awin, Skimlinks, and CJ each carry a meaningful share. Skimlinks consistently provides the most granular performance data in this vertical — conversion rates, reversal rates, and average basket sizes appear on Skimlinks where they are absent on Impact for the same brand. This makes Skimlinks the most useful network for pre-join research, even when its EPC figures reflect smaller publisher samples than a larger open network like Impact.

Methodology

This analysis covers 234 investing and trading affiliate program listings across 7 networks including Impact, FlexOffers, Awin, Skimlinks, CJ, Rakuten, and Mavely. The vertical is defined by the AI subcategory filters: investing, trading, brokerage, and stocks. Performance data (EPC, conversion rate, reversal rate, average basket size) is pulled from network APIs and dashboards. Commission rates reflect default publisher tiers — negotiated rates may differ. Programs with no performance data (“ghost programs”) are excluded from averages but included in total counts and the full ledger. The EPC median for positive reporters is $0.59; the flag flag is applied to any EPC or conversion rate exceeding 10x the vertical median (capped at an absolute maximum of $15 for EPC), and to any conversion rate above 25%.
